About me
I am a software engineer and currently CTO of bitdrift. I am also well known as the creator of Envoy. I have been working on operating systems, virtualization, distributed systems, networking, and making systems easy to operate for over 20 years across a variety of companies. Some highlights include leading the development of Twitter’s L7 edge proxy, working on high-performance computing and networking in Amazon’s EC2, and creating Envoy at Lyft. I currently live in Idaho with my wife, son, daughter, and cat.
